Equipping the Saints for the
Work of Ministry.

OUR PURPOSE

We at the Freeda Harris Baptist Center seek “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:12, CSB) through partnering with local churches in Eastern Kentucky to serve their communities.

Our Legacy

The Freeda Harris Baptist Center began in October of 1973 as the Marrowbone Baptist Center. What began primarily as a ministry to children and families remains just as committed today to reaching our local communities for Christ. Today, the center partners with local churches, pantries, and agencies to develop traditional and “out of the box” ways to fulfill the call of loving our neighbors. We seek to see our communities come to KNOW Christ, GROW in Him, SERVE to His glory, and GO to our neighbors and the nations.
